Lestat is the vampire that I will be trying to portray. I chose
him because after reading the screenplay his character stood out the most to
me. He is strong and evil and overall seductive and I fell for his character.
Mysterious and coy is pretty much how he stays in this novel, at times he shows
is weaknesses but most things don’t get to this handsome badass vampire prince.
His character never seems to think hard and long about his actions which tells
me he his impulsive and doesn’t see life as sacred. Killing who he wants and
win he believes is his right as a vampire, since he is already damned what can
hurt him? He relishes his abilities and doesn’t understand vampire’s ho don’t,
ones that see human life for what it is, living. He was so alone, this
emptiness has caused him to manipulate his friends to stay with him, which
never works. Its hard for him when plans don’t work out and he no longer lives
in luxury because before becoming vampire his father made she he had the best,
causing him to become very rude and to look down on people worse off them him.
This doesn’t do well once he no longer cares for humans. At the end of the
novel, Lestat feels so alone and broken. He grows tired of living and kills
himself. For me I can easily fall into his character I feel, only because we
have a disgust for the humans.

For our first assignment for Literature and media studies was to read and analyze the Wife of Baths by Chaucer. His story is written in what we now call "Middle English" which was used during the Middle Ages. The prologue starts off explaining the basis of her theories about experience as a woman who has had a full life and has studied the Bible many times. Her theory was that women most desire is complete control over their husbands. Because she has had five husbands, the Wife feels that sh...
